Our ethos
At Foxe & Fable we recognise the impact the fashion industry is having on our environment. We make luxury that doesn’t cost the earth.
We carefully source and manufacture all our products with the planet in mind; challenging ourselves to make the best possible product for our customers, whilst minimising its environmental impact, from design to delivery.
OUR PROCESS
Our manufacturing process is simple. Each boxer is handmade by a sustainable factory in London and produced in small batches in order to reduce waste and ensure quality.
We like to source our materials from as close to home as possible. Our boxers are made from the finest silk and lace materials ethically and sustainably sourced from specialist suppliers in the UK and France.
We have chosen to partner with Royal Mail for delivery who currently offer the lowest C02 emissions of the major UK delivery companies at 221g C02e per parcel.
OUR MATERIALS
We have chosen to base our collections around the use of silk. Not only is silk one of the world’s most luxurious materials, famed for its lustre, shine, strength and durability but it is also a natural fibre meaning it is renewable, can biodegrade and uses less water and chemicals than many other fibres.
Our silks are supplied by the only organic silk supplier in the UK, which is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, ensuring the fabric is manufactured under strictly controlled environmental and social criteria.
The silk contains at least 95% certified organic fibres, are free from toxic chemicals and have been produced in fair working conditions.
Our lace has been specially sourced in France from an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified supplier ensuring that the material is free from any harmful or toxic chemicals.
OUR PACKAGING
Each pair of Foxe & Fable boxers comes nestled in a complementary gifting box complete with detailed care instructions. Whilst the box has been designed to be kept for a lifetime, all the components and packaging materials are 100% recyclable.
We are committed to making sustainable choices at every level of our operations which is why we’ve partnered with a packaging provider which prides itself on being an eco-friendly, minimal waste company and is part of the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit which ensures workers are treated ethically and protects them from unsafe conditions, overwork, discrimination, low pay and forced labour.
